Maplesoft, which also has offices in Calgary, said the deal for 26-year-old PDS will help with its strategy of establishing a national presence in Canada.
"We foresee a large opportunity with Maplesoft and PDS joining forces to deliver systems solutions to customers across new vertical markets including financial services, telecommunication and retail," the company said in a release.
The local firm said the PDS team will be integrated as part of Maplesoft's technology division. “We are eager to work with the PDS team to offer open standards-based technology solutions to our customers in Toronto,” said Jody Campeau, Maplesoft's president and CEO and an OBJ Forty Under 40 recipient, in a statement.
“Maplesoft will provide tremendous value to our existing customers,” added Glenn Arnold, president of PDS, also in a statement.
