In total, 10 organizations are recipients of the 2011 Employees' Choice Awards, a program organized by Ottawa Business Journal, Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and Talentmap.

The Employees' Choice Awards invites local organizations to launch confidential employee engagement surveys, which measure everything from their sense of optimism about the organization's future, the ability of senior leadership to communicate goals and personal growth potential.

To participate, an organization must have more than 35 employees and achieve a statistically relevant response level. The recipients are selected based on hundreds of employee surveys.

"We can think of no better way of identifying the city's best employers than directly asking their employees for input," says OBJ publisher Michael Curran. "The recipients have achieved an enviable level of engagement with employees."

The recipients are:

• Brookstreet Hotel

• Collins Barrow

• CORADIX

• Ernst & Young

• Holiday Inn & Suites Kanata

• McLarty & Co.

• Medical Council of Canada

• Morley Hoppner Group Inc.

• RealDecoy

• TITUS

Profiles of the recipients will be published in OBJ's newspaper on Jan. 23. Recipients will be feted at the Lago Bar and Grill Jan. 26 at 5 p.m. Details can be found at employeeschoice.ca.
