The firm will help integrate the operations of Dollco Printing following its acquisition by the Lowe-Martin Group announced in April.
"We need to ensure a smooth transition of operations to maintain our customer service, manage costs and increase our business agility," said Lowe-Martin Group CEO Ward Griffin in a statement. "Stratford Managers' experience managing complex integrations will help us achieve these objectives."
Colleen Kelley, vice-president of operations at Stratford Managers, will lead the development and execution of the integration strategy, providing coaching and advisory services while aligning policies, practices and procedures.
"For an integration of this type to succeed, companies must focus to implement the right synergies within a defined time frame while continuing effective operations," stated Jim Roche, founder and CEO of Stratford Managers.
The company was chosen to lead the integration because of its extensive mergers and acquisitions experience, although specific examples were not provided in the company release.
The Lowe-Martin Group, a nearly one century-old local printer, has 320 employees with plants in Ottawa and Mississauga. Combined with Dollco, the company will employ nearly 600 people in Ottawa.
Dollco was founded in 1918, and has been owned by Kevin and Krista Nicholds since 1956.
Stratford Managers is a ByWard Market-based company that provides financial, marketing, technical and other business consulting services, and was named one of OBJ's Fastest Growing Companies in 2012.
