Eagle names new president

One of Ottawa’s largest staffing firms has a new president.

Eagle Professional Resources Inc., the city’s second-largest firm in the area when measured by the number of local employees, announced Monday Terry Power would be taking over the position.

He comes to the company from his current position as president of the National Association of Computer Consulting Businesses.

"Eagle has proven to be an industry leader in helping Canadian companies acquire the talent they need to compete globally and there has never been a more exciting time to be in this critical industry,” said Mr. Power in a statement issued by the firm.

Eagle had 25 local in-house employees as of August 2012, making it second only to Excel HR in the city.

In 2011, the company said it surpassed $100 million in annual revenues for the first time.

Mr. Power currently lives in Toronto, according to the press release.
