Ottawa-based civil air navigation services provider NAV Canada has reached a deal with a new labour agreement with its unionised workers.
Unifor Local 1016 represents about 270 workers, including air traffic control specialists and aeronautical information services. Many of those employees work in the Ottawa area.
The new agreement, which was the result of an arbitration board decision, will last until June 2016.
Employees will receive wage increases of one-per cent on July 1, 2013 and January 1, 2014 to go along with two-per cent increases on July 1, 2014 and July 1, 2015, the corporation said in a press release issued Tuesday.
