Alcatel-Lucent VP to become new co-chair of Invest Ottawa

Invest Ottawa will soon have a new co-chair, the economic development agency announced on Friday.

David Ritonja is a VP with Alcatel-Lucent Canada.

David Ritonja, a vice-president at Alcatel-Lucent Canada, will replace Jeff Westeinde, an entrepreneur and founding partner of the Windmill Development Group. He has been the co-chair for the past two years.

Mayor Jim Watson will continue as the other co-chair. In a press release Mr. Watson said Mr. Westeinde “will continue to be part of the landscape of Invest Ottawa.”

“I am looking forward to building on the momentum of my predecessors, growing this organization here at home and taking the good news about this remarkable community to even more partners and investors around the world,” said Mr. Ritonja in the release.
