The embassy is currently accepting applications for its Startup Weekend Ottawa, which it’s hosting in mid-June.

Applications are open to Canadian entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 30 whose businesses are still in the seed stage.

The approximately 50 entrepreneurs who are selected will pitch their ideas and have the chance to work on the best ones, which will be judged at the end of the weekend.

In addition to the embassy, the event is also being sponsored by UP Global, a U.S.-based non-profit that promotes entrepreneurship and the Imagine Space, a joint project between the Ottawa Library and the U.S. Embassy.
