Noting its restricted schedule over the summer and heading into the Oct. 27 municipal election, city council has extended its support for the “by the glass” licence applications for local breweries.
The application would allow the city’s microbreweries to serve and sell their products where they make them.
In a release, the city said it will support any microbrewery’s licence application to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission until the end of this year.
The “by the glass” application’s real name is the Manufacturer’s Limited Liquor License. It allows wineries or microbreweries to serve and sell their products on-site, but only with the support of their municipalities.
