Fresh off the heals of naming a new president, Algonquin College has promoted a Lanark County native to the position of acting dean at its Perth campus.
Chris Hahn, acting dean, Algonquin College Perth Campus
Chris Hahn brings 22 years of experience to the position. For the last four years, he has been the Construction Trades and Building Systems chair at the college’s Ottawa campus.
Mr. Hahn has spent time at Nortel as an instructional designer, as well as a program manager for the TalentsWorks initiative at the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation, the predecessor to Invest Ottawa. He also has extensive experience in the government, working on a number of programs dealing with apprenticeships.
He begins his new position immediately.
Cheryl Jensen was appointed Algonquin College president last month, coming over from Mohawk College in Hamilton, where she was vice-president, academic.
