A local cooking school and gourmet food tour operator will be changing hands later this month.
Georges Laurier and Stefanie Siska will take ownership of C'est Bon Cooking Feb. 15.
Andrée Riffou, who founded C’est Bon Cooking in 2008, announced Thursday she has sold the business to partners Georges Laurier and Stefanie Siska.
Mr. Laurier is the former owner and chef at Gatineau’s Laurier sur Montcalm.
“I’m as passionate about my craft as I am about sharing what I have learned throughout my career with others,” Mr. Laurier said in a statement.
Ms. Siska will take on the role of operations and marketing manager, and will be tasked with maintaining C’est Bon Cooking’s gourmet food tours.
“The National Capital Region has a very rich culture of food producers, artisans and establishments that go somewhat unnoticed by most locals let alone the out-of-town tourist. Our tours put our food scene on the map,” she said in a statement.
The business officially changes hands Feb. 15. While the tours will continue throughout various Ottawa neighbourhoods, classes will resume in April once the new owners complete the kitchen at the school’s new location on Dalhousie Street.
Terms of the sale were not released.
