Paul McCarten has been appointed chair of the board of WiLAN. Mr. McCarten has been a WiLAN board member since 2010 and has more than 30 years' legal and management experience, most recently with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.
Eamonn Garry has joined MoneyBar Rewards as chief technology officer.
Jill Alexander has joined Borden Ladner Gervais LLP as an associate, practising in tort liability and insurance. Ms. Alexander was previously with Cavanagh Williams Conway Baxter LLP.
Dan Hunter has been appointed vice-president of business development with Bellwether Investment Management Inc. Mr. Hunter will be based in Ottawa.
Jay Dziuba has joined Excentric Creative Partners as marketing services manager.
Doug Dempster and Sophia Leong have joined the Centre for Executive Leadership at the University of Ottawa's Telfer School of Management. Mr. Dempster joins as executive director of the centre. He was most recently the NATO assistant secretary general for executive management in Brussels. Ms. Leong becomes director of Telfer's Executive MBA program. She most recently held an executive position at Industry Canada.
