Ottawa-based OCM Manufacturing has signed an agreement to design and manufacture part of a new product for Airlift Technologies International. The product, an electronics assembly for a de-reefing device, is intended to slow the time it takes a cargo parachute to inflate to reduce the damage on the supplies it carries. Financial details were not disclosed.
Local firms Northern Graphite Corp. (TSX-V: NGC) and Panacis Inc. have entered into an agreement to promote services and products related to lithium ion batteries. Panacis' expertise in this field will allow Northern Graphite to accelerate its plan for value-added processing, including graphite for these batteries, the firms stated in a release. Contract and financial details were not released.
Ottawa's Macadamian says it will do the design for an emergency nurse exam preparation app done by Elsevier, a recognized publisher of technical, medical and scientific educational products. Macadamian's experience in the health industry helped gain the firm the contract, the companies stated. No financial metrics were included in a release.
International Datacasting Corp. (TSX:IDC) has announced a pair of deals. The Ottawa digital content distributor for broadcasters says it signed a contract with Thaicom Public Co. Ltd. The Thai company plans to, with a customer, own and operate a satellite cinema distribution network reaching throughout southeast Asia. The distribution will include IDC's network platform to manage files. IDC also says it was selected by Radio Maria, a Catholic radio program distributor, to deploy radio receivers. Further contract details for both details were not disclosed.
