The Aerospace Industries Association of Canada has appointed Lucie Boily as vice-president of policy and competitiveness. She has an extensive background with the public sector.

Panacis Inc. has appointed Jonathan Blanshay to its board of directors. Mr. Blanshay is the founder and CEO of Revision Military and has an extensive background in the financial services industry.

Delcan has promoted Hiran Sandanayake to principal. He is a water resources engineer with 11 years’ experience in municipal engineering and land development.

International Datacasting Corp. has appointed Rick Clements as chief financial officer. He is a chartered accountant with 30 years’ experience in senior financial and operational roles at public and private companies in the technology sector. Additionally, the company has appointed Karlton Burn as managing director for the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Burn comes from the Grass Valley Group, where he held the position of general manager of sales for the Asia-Pacific region.

CRG Consulting has appointed Jean-Pierre (JP) St-Amand as vice-president of business development. Mr. St-Amand has extensive experience in corporate services, having worked for nearly 25 years in the federal government.

 

HATS OFF

Several local firms were recently honoured with design excellence awards from the Ontario Association of Architects. Recipients included BBB Architects Ottawa Inc. for its work on the Ottawa Convention Centre; CSV Consultants Inc., architects for the Rideau Canal Skateway Chalets; and Barry J. Hobin & Associates Architects Inc. with Shoalts and Zaback Architects Ltd. for the James Bartleman Archives and Library Materials Centre. In addition, Raymond Moriyama received the OAA’s Lifetime Design Achievement Award for his work both in Ontario and abroad.

TMC has named Mitel’s Unified Communicator Advanced Mobile as a recipient of its 2011 Unified Communications Product of the Year Award.
