Clearford Industries, Ackroo, the Lowertown Brewery and Tweed Marijuana are among the local companies announcing new agreements.
Clearford Industries (TSX-V: CLI), an Ottawa-based water infrastructure company, says it has signed a deal with an Indian company in an effort to boost sales in the Indian state of West Bengal. The deal will see Clearford act as a representative for Kolkata-based JB Enviro Consultants while promoting the Small Bore Sewer system.
Ottawa-based Ackroo (TSX-V: AKR) has expanded to the Caribbean. The company has inked a deal with St. Lucia’s West Technology Group that will see Ackroo provide a stored-value fleet card solution for fuel purchases. Ackroo says the move will help give it a foothold in the North American retail gas market.
The Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend has signed up a new sponsor. Lowertown Brewery will become the official beer supplier of the race weekend. The deal will see the 10-kilometre run named for the brewery. Lowertown's beer will also be sold at the race weekend’s concert series.
Smith Falls-based Tweed Marijuana has formed a new partnership with vaporizer-maker Arizer that will see the company offer discounted vaporizers to its customers. Vaporizers allow users to inhale the active chemicals in marijuana without actually burning the plant. Proponents say it is a healthier way to consume the drug.
