Colin Doherty has been named president and chief executive officer of BTI Systems. He has 25 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, most recently as CEO at Arbor Networks.
Vocantas has appointed Robert Fryer as director of product development. Mr. Fryer brings 20 years’ management and product development experience.
David J. Smith has been appointed to the board of directors of International Datacasting Corp. Mr. Smith has had a 30-year career in technology and telecommunications in a variety of roles.
Kevin Barwin and Tara Azulay have co-founded Clariti Group Inc. Mr. Barwin was formerly general manager and partner at CareerJoy, while Ms. Azulay has experience at CareerJoy and Altis Human Resources.
Gowlings was named Canadian Firm of the Year in three of the five practice area categories at the 2014 Managing Intellectual Property North America Awards. The firm also took home several other awards, including Outstanding Canada IP Practitioner for Anthony Creber, a partner and patent litigator in the Ottawa office.
