Karine Devost recently joined Mann Lawyers after 14 years with Langevin Morris Smith. Ms. Devost will be practising primarily in personal injury law.
Kinaxis announced recently John Sicard will replace Doug Colbeth as CEO. Mr. Colbeth will remain chairman of the board when Mr. Sicard takes over Jan. 1. Mr. Sicard is currently the firmâ€™s chief products officer.
Geoff Godding and Bill Campbell have joined Decathlon Commercial Realty Corporationâ€™s commercial real estate team to lease and sell industrial, office and retail buildings as well as investment sales. Mr. Godding and Mr. Campbell both have more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate business.
University of Ottawa president Allan Rock, Ernst & Youngâ€™s Ottawa managing partner Gary Zed and Kichesippi Beer Co. co-owner Paul Meek were among 14 people inducted to the Order of Ottawa at a recent ceremony at City Hall. Claridge Home founder Bill Malholtra was to have been recognized a well but was unavailable for the ceremony. Mr. Malholtra will be formally recognized next year.
Lead to Win, Carleton Universityâ€™s business incubator, was recently listed in UBI Globalâ€™s top ten business incubators in North America. Lead to Win placed seventh.

Dale Craig also won the Beaubien Award at the ceremony for exception service to the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies-Canada and the consulting engineering industry.
Carleton Universityâ€™s Cynthia Cruickshank, associate professor in the research intensive Faculty of Engineering and Design, recently won the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation Excellence in Education Award to honour outstanding educational contributions to sustainable practices.
