Gowlings recently announced 17 new partners across the country including three in Ottawa. D.E. Gordon Cudney specializes in corporate finance, Martin Lapner specializes in medical defence, and Jaclyn Marmara specializes in real estate and financial services.

Ackroo announced recently it has appointed Chad Holliday to its board of directors. Mr. Holliday has 20 years experience growing small and large telecom software businesses. He was most recently vice-president and general manager of the mobile policy and charging software business at Alcatel-Lucent.

Collins Barrow Ottawa LLP recently announced Tom Hunt has been appointed as principal. Mr. Hunt has been with Collins Barrow since 2011.

Kinaxis recently announced it had appointed Jack Noppé as its chief technology officer. The appointment came shortly after John Sicard took over as CEO. Mr. Noppé brings 20 years of experience to the role including almost 10 years at Cognos and IBM, where he led product management teams. He also served as an adviser to Shopify in 2013 and was most recently chief product officer at Toronto-based Terapeak.

Kinaxis also recently announced it had appointed Angel Mendez to its board of directors. Mr. Mendez has more 30 years of management expertise with some of the world's leading companies and was most recently senior vice-president Cisco-Transformation, which reinvented Cisco's business model creating increases in growth and shareholder value.

Justin George was recently appointed senior director of real estate and asset management. Most recently with Pivotal Projects, a division of WSP Global, Mr. George has spent the last ten years working on complex international projects.

Westboro Flooring & Decor recently announced two new vice-president appointments. Barbara Champagne, a 32-year veteran with the company, is now vice-president of operations, retail and commercial divisions, and Eva Lepore, who has been with the company for 27 years, is now vice-president of operations for the new housing and condominium divisions. Westboro president Steven Kimmel has added chief brand officer to his title and says the new appointments will position the company for growth.
