Bell Media-owned TSN is set to sign a deal that will see it take over from Rogers-owned Sportsnet as the provider of local coverage of the team’s games starting next season, according to reports in the Ottawa Citizen and Ottawa Sun.

The deal is for 12 years, the media outlets said.

Earlier this year TSN lost the rights to broadcasting NHL games nationally after Rogers submitted the winning bid of $5.2 billion.

TSN already has the rights to broadcast Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets games regionally.

Here's hoping that TSN will keep Dean Brown as the play by play voice of the Ottawa Senators on television. If he is relegated to calling games on radio, it will NOT be the same.
