Valero s'acquiert d'Ultramar

Valero Energy a annonce lundi l'achat de la petroli re Ultramar Diamond Shamrock pour la somme de 6 milliards $.

Selon les conditions de cette transaction, Valero devra aussi absorber la dette de 2 milliards $ d'Ultramar.

La nouvelle entreprise comptera environ 23 000 employes, et sera la deuxi me raffinerie en importance aux tats-Unis. Les ventes annuelles de cette nouvelle entreprise s'el veront environ 32 milliards $.

Jusqu' date, aucune mise- -pied n'est attendue, bien que certains postes seront elimines par attrition.
