Power Measurement's ION products will allow Yukon software to gather energy system updates from a variety of communications methods, including Power Measurement's new MeterM@il e-mail messaging feature.
The Yukon software platform is designed to gather metre reads and control loads for companies that deliver energy or energy services, the company said.
"By adding support for Power Measurement's ION products, we're dramatically increasing the scope of capability for our software," Joel Cannon, VP for Cannon Technologies, said in a release. "The ION family of devices is ideal for many energy services applications and fits well with our target applications for Yukon."
Wayzata, Minn.-based Cannon Technologies is a privately held firm specializing in the development of software and systems for electric utility load management, remote metering, and substation automation.
