Federal government looking to replace air conditioner at DND HQ

Public Works is looking for a contractor to install a new air conditioning system at the Major-General George R. Pearkes Building, the primary headquarters of the Department of National Defence.

The Department of National Defence is headquartered in the Major-General George R Pearkes Building on Colonel By Drive.

The contractor would be responsible for replacing six air conditioning units and installing a new chiller and condenser.

Work would have to be completed within 22 weeks of the contract being awarded.

The estimated value of the contract is between $500,001 and $1 million.

Both the contractor and all staff working on the site would be required to have undergone a personal security screening and have secret-level security clearance.

Bids must be received by Nov. 6 at 1 p.m.
