HOK is the architect behind the 18,000-square-foot Steacie Building "Super Lab" at Carleton University and designed labs nine and 10 at Nortel’s Carling Campus, according to the company’s online portfolio.
Public Works officials said in May they were evaluating nine proposals to develop the master plan for the federal complex, home to roughly 10,000 public servants working in 19 buildings that are widely regarded as in need of extensive renovations.
HOK’s contract has a value of $664,129.20, according to a publishing award notice.
HOK has more than 2,000 employees in 24 regional offices in Europe, Asia and North America – including an Ottawa location – and recorded US$637 million in gross fees in 2007, according to the company.
