The real-time asset tracking firm said in a statement that the service will allow the Globalstar subsidiary to monitor customers' fleets and offer real-time support.
“Globalstar is the world’s largest provider of mobile satellite voice and data services to businesses, governments and individuals," said troo president and CEO Phil Wyatt. "Signing on with Globalstar de Mexico is confirmation that our service offering can operate with any satellite, cellular or hybrid device in the market and provide the types of information required to make informed decisions.”
Formerly known as Waypoint Information Technology Inc., the company was re-branded as troo Corp. in July of 2009. The re-branding carried with it a shift in focus toward providing tracking products for fleet operators.
Troo, which has raised more than $1.4 million from the Business Development Bank of Canada and the Industrial Research Assistant Program, says it has over 400 customers operating in 50 countries.
