Ottawa-based BTI said regional telecommunications service provider Network USA has added on to its existing deployment with BTI within the Baton Rouge-to-Shreveport corridor, in order to provide carrier Ethernet-based capabilities in support of increased service demands within that area.
Network USA – which has already been using the BTI 7000 Series system for one and a half years in Louisiana metropolitan markets such as Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette and Lake Charles – has signed up for BTI’s packetVX modules in the follow-on deal.
“By providing the bandwidth to meet the growing needs of their customers, Network USA’s state-of-the-art network delivers next-generation telecommunication services to their customers quickly and affordably,” said BTI chief executive Steve Waszak in a statement. “BTI’s solutions provide Network USA the means to maintain a flexible network foundation and the ability to rapidly respond to customer demand—both critical to business success.”
It’s the third deal BTI’s announced in the month of March alone, following two wins in quick succession in the Denver area.
The company, which has more than 200 customers worldwide and nearly 180 employees in its Ottawa headquarters and throughout its regional offices in Boston, Belfast and China, earlier stated hopes grow its business with service providers and enterprises throughout North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
