Sidense Corp. says all 11 claims on a patent disputed by California rival Kilopass Technology have been validated by the United States patent office.

The decision was a confirmation of a January ruling on patent 7,402,855, concerning a one-transistor one-time programmable bit cell. The ruling then affirmed Sidense's claim to the technology, the Ottawa firm stated.

Kilopass's appeal was overruled on Friday.

The companies have been embroiled in a dispute for 18 months concerning patents that have to do with embedded memory technology.
