Davtair Industries received a $5.6 million standing offer from the Department of National Defence for cargo shipping and ISO storage containers. The standing offer lasts two years with the option to extend for three one-year periods.
Soshal Group was named the social media agency of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario for undisclosed terms. The local firm "will be working with the hospital’s communications team to build social technology and processes directly into CHEO's operations," the hospital stated.
GaN Systems Inc. and United Kingdom-based Converter Technology Ltd. have signed a joint strategic agreement to advance the commercialization of GaN's semiconductor switching technology. "The companies will work directly to develop application notes, reference designs, training material and cutting-edge technology," GaN stated. Financial details were not released.
Wi-LAN Inc. (TSX:WIN) signed a multi-year royalty agreement with Upstar USA Inc. for undisclosed terms. The pact covers "a number of (Wi-LAN)'s digital TV and display patents," the Ottawa company stated.
