The firm, which specializes in patent analysis and reverse engineering for microelectronics and semiconductors, will have its European headquarters in London.

“In addition to driving revenue, we feel we can better meet the needs of our clients by having a local presence,” stated Chipworks president Julia Elvidge.

The office will be led by John Hartley, who is described as a “business technology veteran” who has done work in the semiconductor and management consulting markets.

Additionally, current European sales director David Bellefeuille is expected to assist Chipworks with bumping up its sales workforce in North America.
