It’s time to plan your summer food adventure!

Check out EOBJ's spring issue for the tasty scoop

Eastern Ontario promises to offer up a fantastic menu of culinary and other delights for travelers looking for new experiences close to home.

And as EOBJ contributor Sherry Haaima aptly said, every tourist has to eat, usually three times a day.

While eating great food never goes out of style, climate change could be why it feels so comforting to lean into the local foodie scene right now: disappearing snow and ice is literally shifting the tourism landscape beneath our feet.

The good news is that Eastern Ontario’s intrepid tourism entrepreneurs have already adapted by offering new activities, like fat biking.

But we think eating a few butter tarts along the way is great way to soothe your climate angst while giving the hard hit hospitality industry — as well as our local farmers — a much needed boost.

After all, eating well never goes out of style and happens all year round, no matter the weather.

Could this be the summer you seek out a new food adventure?

Start your journey with the Eastern Ontario Business Journal’s spring issue, where we share the best tips and advice on culinary tourism in your own backyard.

Enjoy!
