Ottawa’s largest tech hub is poised to add a few new residents as a local developer prepares to break ground on a new Herzberg Road condo project.
Vincent Lo, the president of Serenity Design & Development, said several employees of nearby tech firms such as Nokia have already purchased homes in the 32-unit, four-storey building that overlooks the Marshes Golf Club.
The project marks Serenity’s first foray into residential construction, although the family business has a background in office development and structural steel aspects of other projects, says Lo, who is a former vice-president of Toronto-based luxury homebuilder Diamante Development.
He says he hopes to start construction of the project, which is designed by Roderick Lahey Architect Inc., early this year.
